Rahul Pandita is a journalist based in New Delhi. He has previously worked with the Indian Express group, Aaj Tak and Zee News. He has reported extensively from conflict zones like Iraq and Kargil.

Rahul is the recipient of the prestigious Northeast Media Fellowship, 2001. He is also a former Sarai-CSDS fellow. In 2002, his Bildungsroman, Chinar in My Veins, won the Oxford e-author award. He is currently working on a novel based on the 1947 tribesmen attack on Kashmir, roughly titled: The Last Man From Kashmir.

Rahul was born in Srinagar - the summer capital of the north Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir - in a hospital named after a 14th century poetess saint. When he was fourteen, he was forced into exile along with his family, and thousands of others, after Islamic terrorists called the shots in Kashmir valley.

He also contributes to Shekhar Kapur's and Deepak Chopra's Intentblog.
